Right of Withdrawal

This notice applies to consumers. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or self-employed profession.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below for this purpose, but it is not mandatory.

You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at quittum.de/widerruf/erklaeren. If you use this online function, we will send you, without undue delay and on a durable medium (e.g. by email), an acknowledgement of receipt with information on the content of the withdrawal statement and the date and time of its receipt.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received notice of your withdrawal from this contract. We will make this reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal when purchasing the software

quittum is digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. Your right of withdrawal expires when we have begun performance of the contract after you have expressly consented to our beginning performance before the end of the withdrawal period, and you have acknowledged that by giving your consent you lose your right of withdrawal once performance of the contract begins, and we have provided you with the contract confirmation, including your consent and acknowledgement, on a durable medium.

You give this consent during the ordering process; it reads: “I expressly request that provision of quittum begin before the end of the withdrawal period, and I know that I thereby lose my right of withdrawal.” We begin provision as soon as we send you the licence file by email. We confirm your consent in the confirmation email.

Withdrawal from an existing update plan (legacy contract)

Update subscriptions are not offered for new purchases. For existing update subscriptions, the previous withdrawal rights and the following assurance remain in place: the update plan is a subscription for digital content. You can also withdraw from it within fourteen days of concluding the contract. Because we begin provision immediately, we waive, in your favour, any claim to proportionate compensation for value: if you withdraw within the period, we refund the full amount paid, and the update plan ends. Independently of withdrawal, you can cancel the update plan at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period.

Withdrawal from quittum Connect

quittum Connect is a service provided as a subscription. You can withdraw from the Connect contract within fourteen days of its conclusion, as described above. Withdrawing from Connect alone does not affect your quittum licence. If you withdraw from the purchase of your licence, Connect ends at the same time and we also refund all payments for Connect.

Please state which contract you are withdrawing from. In the online function “Withdraw from contract” mentioned above you choose the quittum licence, Connect or both. In a declaration by email or letter, name the product.

Connect starts with a trial period of fourteen days, free of charge. Withdrawing during this time costs you nothing; you owe no compensation for the trial period. The immediate start of the service does not take away your right to withdraw from Connect.

If you have requested that the services begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract. For the trial period free of charge this amount is zero.

Withdrawing electronically

The online function “Withdraw from contract” mentioned above does not require you to sign in. After entering your details, you submit the statement by clicking “Confirm withdrawal”. The subsequent review and any refund are separate from the receipt of the statement.
